A carved highland cow on golden leather

About Amy

Mustang Spirit Leather Works is named for my horse. I grew up horse crazy, and leather was a way to make things for the animals and people I love.

I picked up leather tooling in 2021. My first pieces were purses, and by 2022 I was making horse tack: designed, cut out, tooled, dyed and stitched by hand. I still hand-stitch everything.

Since then I have made tack and prize halters for horse events, belts, keepsakes from pets' collars, and 3D embossed and painted wall pieces. Some of my favorite work starts with a customer's photo of their own horse or dog.

Draft written from Amy's posts. Amy will put this in her own words.
